O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo María.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy; hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
℣. Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Génitrix.
℟. Ut digni efficiámur promissiónibus Christi.
℣. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
℟. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.
Let us pray.—O God, Whose only-begotten Son by His life, death, and resurrection, purchased for us the rewards of eternal life: grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise. Through the same our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.
Amen.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left forsaken. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen.
Amen.
Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the wicked spirits, who roam through the world, seeking the ruins of souls. Amen.
Amen.
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here; ever this day (or night) be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
Réquiem ætérnam dona eis, Dómine. * Et lux perpétua lúceat eis.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, * and let perpetual light shine upon them.
Fidélium ánimæ, per misericórdiam Dei, requiéscant in pace. Amen.
May the souls of all the Faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Sub tuum præsídium confúgimus, sancta Dei Génitrix: nostras deprecatiónes ne despícias in necessitátibus, sed a perículis cunctis líbera nos semper, Virgo gloriósa et benedícta!
We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God: despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us from all dangers, O ever glorious and blessed Virgin!
Divínum ✠ auxílium máneat semper nobíscum! Amen.
May the divine ✠ assistance remain always with us! Amen.
